Any informed people know whether James Harris is injured, or just sitting on the bench? He'd not get into my team anyway, but with James Fuller now ahead of him as well, he might think about seeking opportunities elsewhere...

Sam Billings can play for Kent on days 3 & 4 - never been a fan of that rule.
by stevew1259/6/2016 9:15:46 AM
...honestly that does seem like one rule for the Yorkies, another for the plebs.

StaggerBreaths - Think that the first time those residing in St Johns Wood would be described as plebs
by nickcricket9/6/2016 9:18:17 AM
The thing people never seem to consider is that I imagine the players have some say in their release - I can't imagine that if YJB (for example) said that he really wanted to play they'd ignore his wishes totally. Same if someone said they were knackered and needed a rest for a few weeks.

stevew125 - No, I am not a fan of England having a 14 man squad for a one off T20.
by nickcricket9/6/2016 9:19:22 AM
I'm also not a fan of T20 being played as internationals ! - apart from the World T20 every 2 years.

@StaggerBreaths yeah we're a massive pain in the arse, bit like man u supporters, gloat when we win, moan when we don't, a frankly embarrassing history of racism from the stands too, not surprised we're one of the more 'disliked' counties. That said, iany impartial person would surely take this current example and say, that's a bit harsh
by Joe T Williams9/6/2016 9:20:11 AM
Well simultaneously I recognise that I'm far from impartial myself...
by StaggerBreaths9/6/2016 9:21:59 AM
Anyway, to even up the scales somewhat, Stuart Poynter has been taken ill. Yorkshire lose Bairstow, Durham lose Poynter. Like-for-like!
by StaggerBreaths9/6/2016 9:23:00 AM
Stuff like not being able to register a new overseas for the 50 over comp, providing 5 in the England one day squad and had the previous overseas called up for international duty but no replacement it would be unfair. While in the T20 quarter final Glamorgan have two Aussies, Two South Africans and a dutchman

Bowling first against Notts. a bit of a risk, Imran Tahir devastating at county level. If Notts. have any sense they'll have prepared a turner...
by StaggerBreaths9/6/2016 9:24:46 AM
Probably just go for the Lankies recent approach and prepare a road
by nickcricket9/6/2016 9:25:49 AM
...I have to be very careful not to get ahead of myself here, Middx. really should win on recent form but can't take anything for granted. Lucky Broad's not playing.
by StaggerBreaths9/6/2016 9:27:08 AM
Given Notts batting, there a good chance Middlesex could get them out cheaper and be ahead of the game timewise from then on
